Flickr Drives Photo Traffic
Was trying to figure out some creative ways to drive traffic to my personal website. I already use Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing, so I had two very basic advertising drivers covered.
I’d been bumming around a lot with my Flickr photostream and wanted to see if I could actually push real traffic to my personal website. So for about a week, I worked hard to tag as many photos as possible. Then, I added many pictures into Flickr groups, which is how many people actually discover photos.
In my case, I am trying to drive increased awareness of my photo reference books. They are cool books for comic book artists.
Well, good news. Not only did I increase my daily views in Flickr, I drove a 75-100% increase in traffic to my website. Not bad, huh?
And, best of all, it was all free.
